The Ski Week has planned some incredible activities & awesome adventures to immerse you in the local culture as much as possible. All activities that must be booked and paid in advance will be available to purchase on your TSW booking profile. Take our word for it, you don’t want to miss out! Think now, not when. Book and Pay in Advance Bubbles and Brunch What’s better than a hot and hearty breakfast on a chilly winter morning? Well, in our view, pairing that meal with champagne! Join us mid-week at the top of the mountain for bubbles & brunch amongst new friends. Sip mimosas and true European espresso while you enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of the Obertauern Alps. Tickets available on your TSW booking profile. Cost: €40 Other details: Includes equipment hire, breakfast and of course, champagne. Conveniently scheduled so you can hit the slopes after! Oktoberfest Shed your outer layers and embrace the traditional bavarian garb - that means one thing and one thing only, Oktoberfest is here! Close out The Ski Week Austria with an authentic private dinner in a legendary mountainside ski Alm, where the walls are as old as the village itself. Sing german drinking songs with a full stomach and fuller heart, and look back on a week of new friends, epic victories, and world class adventures. Cost: €45 Tickets available on your TSW booking profile. Other details: Includes an dinner, traditional folk music and dancing till your heart’s content! Skijoring ‘Dashing through the snow, behind one horse pulling skis…’ 🎵 🎶 … okay so that’s maybe not how the song goes, but it shows you how totally unique, yet totally wacky this must-try experience is. This one can only be described as a marriage of water skiing and horseback riding, with a bit of an obstacle course to get through.  You really have to see it to believe it… or better yet, try it! Tickets available on your TSW booking profile. Cost: €40 Other details: Includes a once in a lifetime experience followed by mugs of cocoa! Snowshoe Hike & Dine Venture off the beaten track led by our TSW guides on an alpine snowshoe retreat. Depart at dusk and immerse yourself in the wilderness of the backcountry to areas only reachable by snowshoe! Of course, an explorer builds up an appetite on every venture - come inside the Almrausch and onto the hearth, to be welcomed by supper and steins! Tickets available on your TSW booking profile. Cost: €20 Other details: Includes equipment hire and TSW guide. Dinner available to order on arrival. Hike duration is around an 1 - 1.5 hours and open to all ability levels. Book in Advance The Ski Week has some recommendations at each of our resorts to help you enhance your vacay. After all, it’s about treating yo’self over these 7 days. Sign-up On-site Cross-Country Ski Hit the gear locker and suit up for a gentlemanly and lady-like mini adventure of speed and fitness. Spandex and body-warmers encouraged as you explore hundreds of meters of peaceful expansive terrain, and get back in touch with your aerobic ability. An essential stop for the workout bunnies. Or if you are trying to work off the Austrian steins. Other details: Includes rentals, guide and access to the Nordic Ski course across the street from our accomodations, so you won’t need to wander far to get to this activity. Snowga Grab the snowshoes and follow your guide into the wilderness for an intimate nature experience. When you find the perfect spot, reward your body with a unique guided yoga practice among the elements. Keeping your ski gear on makes for a steady base and a surprisingly warm experience. Always a favourite among the explorers! Cost: Free, equipment and 45 min yoga session included. Other details: Please make sure to dress accordingly - layer up so you can moderate body temperature. You will work up a sweat! Please also make sure to bring appropriate footwear (snow boots or winter hiking boots). Ski Instructor If you feel like you need a little bit extra time before hitting the slopes of Obertauern. We will have ski instructors ready for you one the first day. They will help the first-timers to the ones that just wants that extra nudge before heading out. Cost: Free beginner lessons on the first day. Additional lessons can be requested, check out our itinerary release in January for more information on how to book! Yoga Yoga with a view? Yes please! How about catching your first chairlift to the top of the mountain, greeted by local specialists for a private ski-specific yoga session, in your thermals, on a sprawling sundeck, with panoramic views overlooking the valley? Once you’re ready for the day, just slip your outerwear back on and hit the slopes. This is yoga, The Ski Week way. Cost: Free. Mats will be provided on site. Open to Join (No sign-up required) Mountain Banquet Join 270 Ski Weekers for a rustic mountain banquet high in the Austrian alps, set across the entire length of a 50m snow-table, and loaded with traditional gourmet alpine fare. With all your friends dressed in majestic faux furs, the toasts are plentiful and the views, sensational. Trust us, you’ve never been a guest at a table like this before. Parade of Nations Fly your country colours and follow the music alongside 50 other nationalities as part of the world’s most diverse community of skiers, snowboarders and travellers. We guarantee you’ll leave the mountains with countless new friends, all hungry for adventure and ready to ski the world. **Remember to bring your country flag! Pond Skim There is 15 metres of crystal clear water in between you and victory, but standing in your way are 3x judges, the laws of physics, and maybe that beer you had over lunch. Legendary status is up for grabs on the podium, but only guts will win you glory in the ultimate challenge of skill, style, and showmanship. Can you ski across the pond? Après-Pond Skim What's better to do after crossing (or falling in) that cold pond than a proper Après-ski. Here everyone’s is a winner! Feel the vibe and join the flow on the dancefloor/in the snow. Torch Light Descent Join your fellow Ski Weekers as you ignite your bond and ski together through the darkness, with only the glow of (wait a minute) 270 flaming torches to light the way. Looking back at the glowing procession of friends is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but celebrating once you reach the bottom is unforgettable. Ski Wax Clinic Learn how to maintain your equipment in a fun and informative DIY masterclass. We’ll cover everything from the right music, to the perfect wax temperature, to make certain every guest leaves with real, usable experience under their belt - and a freshly waxed pair of skis (or snowboard). All materials provided.

Onsite Themes

Lederhosen / Dirndl: For Oktoberfest closing party
In keeping with long standing tradition, we choose to wear only traditional german celebratory garb for the Oktoberfest. High quality lederhosen and dirndl rentals are available to collect on site, reserve yours here! Rental cost: €30. Collect in resort on Friday.
Fancy faux & majestic: For Mountain Banquet
Think alpine chic, meets game of thrones, meets eccentric bohemian style. Floor length fur cloaks, chunky knitted sweaters,  bavarian style headpieces and creative outfitting are welcome for the open-air Mountain Banquet. Animal onesies, and novelty gimmicks are not. See here for some style inspiration! 80s Après-ski: For Kringsalm Let's go back to the days of metal bands and big hair, grab some leg warmers, muscle shirts, or acid wash to wear.

Grab those leg warmers and tease up that hair, tonight is the night for acid wash wear! Think Cyndi Lauper, think neon leotards, think the most epic 80s après-ski party… need we say more?

Alpine Adventurer: For all activities where you'll be working up a sweat A theme of its own, we love our Gore-Tex so we decided to make it a theme. Look good both on and off the slopes by dressing in appropriate alpine & athletic gear. Bring extra layers for activities like snowshoeing, nordic skiing & other adventures. Check out our fave outfits here! And don't forget to include those waterproof winter boots or winter hiking boots with grip!
