No time for hibernation this winter because we've got our events lined up with no overlaps so, if you really wanted your name carved on a mountain for the world to see, you could do them all; Chamonix, Hakuba, Obertauern and Aspen. Imagine that: You, the history maker. But we do understand if you wanna slip on your speedo and sail away to The Yacht Week in BVI for a week or join Skipper Academy for a new career path. So for those who have to choose only one of our four hand-picked destinations, here they are in a nutshell:
Obertauern, the original, is where it all began in 2014. It's the home of The Ski Week and by far our biggest and wildest winter event. If you're a yacht-weeker the best comparison is TYW Croatia, it's the place to be. Your level of skiing is not what counts, Obertauern is for everyone: some super steep slopes for the ski-gurus and smaller slopes for beginners finding their feet. We host up to 400 guests in Obertauern and have a great line up of extraordinary après-skis parties as well as mountain jacuzzis, torchlight descents and our very own Oktoberfest. Obertauern sees a fresh wave of international guests from over 30 different nationalities; we guarantee you'll make a tonne of new best friends.
We believe the best way to party after a day of skiing is straight off the slopes, still in your boots, on a sun terrace. Aspen/Snowmass is without a doubt one of the best ski areas in the USA and we want to give you the possibility to make the most out of this excellent system. That's why we host early après-ski parties every day so you can wake up feeling as fresh as the new fallen snow the next day. We'll even host morning yoga classes if that's your preferred way of preparing body, mind and spirit for a day of skiing. Or you can join us for an inclusive breakfast up in the mountains with fellow ski-weekers and then hit the slopes on your way down.
To continue with the TYW references, Chamonix is similar to Greece. It's more focused on skiing, since Chamonix is a damn fine mountain, with a smaller number of guests to create that family vibe. We'll all be staying at the same hotel in the heart of Chamonix. Don't miss out on the guided tour down Vallée Blanche, the longest off-piste run in the world. There will also be many dinners, a few surprise après-skis parties, long-table lunches and mountain yoga classes.
If you haven't heard about Japan's deep pow then it's safe to say this place probably isn't for you. But if you're an adrenaline addict like us, and you find yourself saying: "Finally! I always wanted to shred that Japanese white dust with cool people", then you should definitely join us for an expedition to test out our newest event. TSW Japan is open for 50 guests for our first year. We take on the week with two days in Tokyo, starting out with a welcome dinner before we hit the buzzing streets for our first taste of the Tokyo nightlife. Then we take to the mountains in Hakuba for 7 days of ultimate skiing in the mystical mountains of Japan.
