For obvious reasons, Japan has been stealing the spotlight, but let's not forget our other new, incredibly awesome destination: The Ski Week Chamonix.

It would just be plain wrong to make you wait until March to take the first turns of the year, so we have booked two hotels in the centre of Chamonix in January. It being the "capital of skiing" we will of course focus on exploring the legendary slopes of Chamonix. For the advanced skiers we will have a guided tour down Vallée-Blanche, one of the longest ski runs you'll ever make, which is included in the price. If you're not in it for the powder and steep peaks there are also ski instructors to perfect your technique on the slopes.

To put the frozen cherry on the ice-cream cake, there will be a smörgåsbord of events during the week. We've got morning yoga classes, torch-light descents, long-table lunches in the mountain, the inevitable après-skis and much more lined up. In short: another unforgettable week!

More news for this event is the long weekend option. If you can't do the full week come join us from Thursday - Sunday. Chamonix is only 1 hour transfer away from Geneva so if you arrive on the Thursday morning flight you'll be up on the mountain after lunch and have 4 days of skiing before heading home Sunday evening.

Bookings open 2nd of September. To stay updated on all news regarding Chamonix add yourself to the list here: theskiweek.com/france
